Talk To Me In Korean
The key to learning Korean is staying motivated enough to learn the language. At TalkToMeInKorean.com, we provide you free lessons, fun video shows, and a store section that will keep you motivated and meet your Korean learning needs.

This video course is based on the book Easy Korean Reading For Beginners and in the lessons included in the course, we break down every single line and explain all the little details for you. Here’s a sample of one of the 30 lessons in the video course.

At TTMIK we teach the Korean language as it is spoken in South Korea, but the language spoken in North Korea is not entirely different. There are, however, still some differences you can immediately notice between the two styles of the Korean language, so we decided to give the North Korean language a try with our friend Joseph Park from North Korea. Our American friend Kris Johnson, with whom we made an interview video before, also joined Cassie. Enjoy!

With the launch of our redesigned website, we now have what we call Audio Courses and Video Courses. We’ve reorganized and regrouped our existing lessons together in a more systematic way and also added a lot of new contents.

To use the audio and video courses, go to the Curriculum page and find a course you want to take. Both for free courses and paid courses, when click on the plus icon, you will see a simple course introduction page, and from there, you can add the course to your learning center. Within the Learning Center, you can click on the Continue Learning button to start learning. If it’s your very first time opening the course, it will take you to the first lesson. And later that day or the next day, when you go back to the Learning Center and press “Continue Learning” in the same course, you will be automatically directed to the next lesson to study with.

We are very excited to show you our new website. We have been working tirelessly for the past several months to bring you a better system and platform where you can learn Korean more efficiently. The new site is based on the two major concepts: Learning Center and Curriculum. The Learning Center is where you add all the materials you want to study with, and Curriculum is where you find what to study next. Every time you come back to the site, you will know exactly what you have been studying with and where to go next.

The site is very new, so please understand that some minor bugs might be found here and there. Your feedback will be very much appreciated in terms of how we can improve the site even further! We have a lot of new features coming to the site over the next few months, so please stay connected!

You often see the words 그 and 그녀 used to refer to “he” and “she” respectively, but that is only in written text. If you say 그 or 그녀 in spoken Korean, you will sound very unnatural or too formal or poetic. Then how DO you actually talk about someone as “he” or “she” in Korean? You use the person’s name or title. In this video lesson, teacher Hyunwoo explains why you shouldn’t actually use the words 그 or 그녀 in spoken Korean.
